Short-Term Rental Templates

Short-term rental hosting is now regulated almost everywhere, and the rules change quickly. Provinces, states and cities have added registration numbers that must be displayed, principal residence requirements, occupancy limits, tax collection and record keeping. A clear guest agreement and set of house rules protects the property, sets expectations about noise, parking and occupancy, and gives the host something definite to point to when a stay goes wrong.

These templates are written with a named jurisdiction's short-term rental rules in mind. They cover the booking terms, deposits and damage, cancellations, check-in and check-out, maximum occupancy and the rules guests agree to follow, with notes on where your registration or business licence number belongs. Shaded fields mark your details; guidance notes explain each clause.

Platform terms and your local bylaws also apply to every stay. Check both before you rely on any clause, and keep the agreement consistent with your listing.
