Service Agreement Templates
Most service businesses run on a handshake and an email until the first dispute. A written service agreement sets out exactly what will be delivered, by when, for how much, who owns the work, how changes are priced, what happens if a payment is late and how either side can end the relationship. It also allocates risk through warranties, limits of liability and insurance, which matter most when something goes wrong.
The templates here are written for a named province or state, so terms such as interest on late payments, limitation periods and governing law fit the local rules. Each agreement pairs a set of standard terms with a schedule for the scope, fees and deadlines of each engagement, so the same terms can be reused for every new project. Guidance notes explain each clause and shaded fields mark what to complete.
Read the limitation of liability and termination clauses carefully. They do the most work when a project goes wrong.
