Invoice and Billing Templates
An invoice is a tax document as much as a request for payment. Tax authorities set out what information an invoice must contain before a customer can claim input tax credits or deduct the expense, and those rules depend on the amount, the type of tax and where the sale takes place. An invoice that leaves out a registration number or does not separate the tax correctly can cost a business customer their credit, and that problem usually comes back to the seller.
These templates are written to the invoicing rules of a named tax jurisdiction. Each shows the required details in a clean layout, calculates the tax and totals where a spreadsheet version is included, and explains each field in a short guidance note. Shaded fields mark your business details and the line items to complete.
Confirm your registration status and tax rates with the tax authority before you issue your first invoice, and keep copies for as long as the law requires.
