Food Service Templates

Food safety inspections are about evidence. Inspectors check whether hot and cold foods are held at safe temperatures, whether equipment is cleaned and sanitized, whether a trained food handler is on site and whether pest control and staff illness are managed. Logs that are filled in every shift are the simplest way to show that those controls work day after day, not just on the day of the inspection.

The templates here are written to the food premises regulation of a named jurisdiction. Each log uses the temperatures and frequencies the regulation and public health guidance set, with columns for corrective actions and the initials of the person checking. Guidance notes explain the rule behind each log, and a cover sheet explains how long to keep the records and what to do when a reading is out of range.

Print the logs, post them where the work happens, and review them weekly so missed checks are caught early.
