Business Plan Templates

A business plan written for a lender is read differently from one written for the founders. Loan officers and program reviewers look for specific things: how the loan will be used, how it will be repaid, what the owners have invested, what collateral is offered and whether the projections are reasonable. When those answers are hard to find, the application slows down or stalls.

The business plan templates here follow the structure and guidance published by the lending program or agency they are written for. Each one lays out every section in the order reviewers expect, with prompts that explain what to write and why it matters, and a linked spreadsheet that builds the projected income statement, cash flow and break-even analysis from your assumptions. Guidance notes come out before you submit.

A template provides the structure; the numbers must be yours. Base the projections on research you can explain, and have an accountant review the financial statements before you submit.
