Bill of Sale Templates

A bill of sale is the proof that ownership changed hands: who sold what to whom, for how much, and on what date. For vehicles and other registered property it is also part of the paperwork the registry expects, and some provinces and states require the seller to give the buyer specific documents or disclosures before the sale. Getting the details right protects both sides if there is later a question about the price, the condition of the item, liens or who was responsible for it on a given day.

Each template is written for a named jurisdiction and lists what that jurisdiction's registry and consumer rules require. It identifies the item precisely, records the price and payment, states the condition and any warranty or lack of one, and includes signature blocks for both parties. Guidance notes explain each part; shaded fields mark what to complete.

Check with the local registry office for any additional forms needed to register the transfer.
